creative FTRW displays

This is my last Freedom to Read week post this year, I promise.

The McGill Branch of Burnaby Public Library has got to be one of the prettiest libraries in BC. I love the clothesline display of There’s something in my library to offend everyone sweatshirts. Not visible in this photo are the quotes on censorship, like Mae West’s “I believe in censorship. I made a fortune out of it”, on all the pillars. Thanks to Barabara Jo May for sending this in.

I think this poster from the Simon Fraser University Library is brilliant. It was created by Alyssa Polinsky (and the many students who added their mark to the poster). Thanks to Catherine Louie for the photo and to Heather De Forest for sending it in. Click on the thumbnail to see a larger image.
